Question.
You know how there is a Forge gametype,
Is there a gametype for running Saved Films?

The gametype for Forge is a simple value change since Forge already is a gametype and has its own value, but how do you think a saved film gametype would work?

Also, has anyone tried swapping the bipeds of AI (ODST to Brute)? If so, do those changes load when playing a campaign save on a clean map?

Maybe that the film is holding the map and gametype information and is just moving bipeds and lets do them several actions ... wait ... it is like this ^^

I have a related question:
Can anyone say me why it take so much longer to load up a clip in a party than a whole film ?
Its even in System Link like this, the only think whats different is that no one gets kicked out.

Actually it's not. The gametype cannot play a film because it's a gametype. Since when could gametypes start launching any menu's you wanted? The best thing, if at all possible, would be when you load the gametype it would take you to the film lobby.
Forge already is a gametype and has its own value
Gametypes store what the game type is. You change it to Forge, it loads Forge. Films storing data has absolutely nothing to do with what he wants.

No, with the gametype information I mean the whole gametype is saved inside the film.
You made the app by yourself, you should know this.

It was just a idea, an "think about".
Maybe I should clear that up, to not look like an idiot ...

I think that the "Saved Film Gametype" is not a gametype so just a way the game says the engine what to read ... sure it does ...
Like, you go to "Custom Game" and the Game knows "Aha, own Lobby, own Map and own gametype" and when you change to "Saved Film" its more like "Ok, everything inside there, Player positions, actions, Map and Gametype information ... WORK YOU ENGINE WH*RE" ^^
In an easy way ...

Someone ?

That's because Bungie programmed the game to do that... Lobbies do the job Bungie gave them. They also made a lobby to read the saved films...

And the Saved Film Gametype is used to determine what gametype loads in the film... It influences the player traits, weapons, etc...

A clip tends to be larger since it contains the clip and basically a different version of the film it was made from. I'm guessing it loads both of them.

It takes a clip longer to start because you're making the game re-create that exact second in time.
All player locations and animations etc.

With a film, you just load up everything and let it take its course.

I aint going to start a new topic for this, but some of my mods still work with NXE installed, why? Is it because of a unbanned KV or just lucky?

You can still mod. You just need to resign with an unbanned KV. Or if you save it from your console from someone else's fileshare, your console with resign with its own keys, allowing it to work, which is probably why the person above could play some mods.

Nah, I made them myself then did the usual resign and transfer it back then when the NXE came in most of my CON saves were corrupt but some including the one I resigned MYSELF was fine.

No. It is safe to run modded Halo 3 usermaps at this moment.

I mean in kombination with the banned KV´s.
If we will resign our content with an banned KV and try to run this, will they ban the console ?

No. The file you resign would just appear as corrupt. They won't ban your profile or console.

Sandtrap, shrine defender...Is the shrine defender weapon the easter egg that shoots the lazers that spawn mines, and therefore is this wield-able by the player?

The shrine defender is an AI Vehicle (yes, it's the egg), it's projectile are those lasers you see, which go through you, and when it hits the sand, it spawns jump-mines. The tower farthest away from you is the one that has you in it's targeting range. ..And no, you cannot wield it anymore than you can wield a warthog horn.

I have a few questions.

* With the NXE installed will using modded usermaps/accidently trying to use an unsigned map get your console or profile banned. (Just to get a clear answer, and yes I read the last few posts.)

* Will we easily be able to mod actual maps now that we can get the game to run off the HDD? Or does it do a comparison between the disc and the installed version?
Avatars may not be Animated.
Why not?
