A newbie in need of help!

Ok, I've tried to avoid asking for help as much as possible, since I've just started modding Halo 2. I've downloaded a bunch of .serenity patches, and I can apply them without much fuss, but I'm a bit spoiled. I'd like to put them in the game's menu, and still have the unmodified maps and downloadable content. Can someone give me a step-by-step guide on how to do massive amounts of patches/main menu applications? I keep getting "failed to load the map" and messages saying my dlc won't play right. >.<

^^ Use that for patching your main menu so you will have enough slots for all the modded maps you want.

^^ Use that to detail edit any settings you want within your mainmenu.map after it's been patched with neodo's 1000 map slot patch.

Hell, you could even just use menu menu menu to add new map slots and name them to whatever your actual map is called. It's all up to you and your creativity.

I've tried to use menumenumenu,but every time i try to add a picture, it adds it to every single multiplayer map. Any tips?

Right click the bitmap and click create new raw for bitmap, then inject your bitmap.

Oh my gosh,I'm so close! Thank for all your help, but now a new problem! On every map, every gametype, the starting weapon slot is blank! And when I try to change it,I can see all the slots for weapons, but none of the names will appear!

IDK what happened, most likely not your problem although there is that small chance that it is... Try redoing it and if it still errors, try clearing your cache (is said like cash

)

Yeah, it sounds like a little glitch in something, nothing wrong on your end, technology is like that.

-Sigh- And here I thought I was on a roll....Managed to get all the maps put onto the menu, loaded the main menu, and now I have two problems. First, the game won't load. I have 53 maps in the list, and the game only makes it past the Bungie logo, before stopping at a black screen and freezing. Secondly, once I get past slot 49, the bitmaps are the same for all of the other slots, no matter what I try. -Sarcasm- Am I stumping anyone yet?

Is the raw set to true? IF it is, then change it to false, and then change the bitmap.

And I think after a point, the game doesn't like too many slots and freezes.

Replace unmodded slots with modded ones if you don't use that map very often.

Why not just check the "add to main menu" option in serenity when applying your patches?
