2008 Summer Olympics

Post by -Legendary- »

So are any of you guys watching? I am loving this year..

BASKETBALL
loooloollolo Team USA perfect record.. That one alley oop from Lebron to Kobe was to hawt.. And when they got 2 blocks up against the back board in like 3 seconds. Love the team, Dwayne, Kobe, Lebron, Melo, Dwight, sirisly.. And more. We suck at 3's >_<

SWIMMING
Phelps goes on to win another gold medal.. 12 in all so far.

Michael Phelps.. Wow.. He is like.. awesome at swimming.. :X 11 Gold medals (In all)? looolo

TENNIS
I can't believe James Blake won against Nadal.. His record against him is like.. 1-8 after that.. o_O, Also Serena and Venus Williamson both lost. :/

GYMNASTICS
lol Shawn Johnson.. I sirsly don't get how they do those flips..

TABLE TENNIS
er.. Most of are players aren't even from the USA lool

BASEBALL
Well, we're ok.. :D Beat a team 7 to 0.

BOXING
5 of are 8 are still in. .. Love the Air Jordan symbol on the jerseys xD

VOLLEY BALL
Great team.. They are doing good

BEACH VOLLEY BALL
REALLY GOOD TEAM.. lollol Perfect record

OTHER STUFF
Dude who threw the medal was some Swedish athlete (boxer I think) who was going for the Gold medal and nothing short. So he has been training for at least 4 years hard and mighty and he only got Bronze. He thought it was BS so he threw a fit and quit (boxing? swimming?) for good. - (Thanks Dissolution.)

NBC has 500 terabytes ready to go for all the video.. xD

:X.. So I heard that after one of the Beach Volley Ball Matches, that the USA girls ring fell off in the sand, but the managed to find it. O_o

Lol at the drum thrown in pool..

That one Chinese gymnist is like 14 o_O.. You have to be 16 to compete,
so she might get disqualified..

That's all I have been really keeping up with so far.. Way more to come.. I will be adding stuff..

What have you guys liked disliked?

:::MEDAL STANDINGS:::
COUNTRY - GOLD - SILVER - BRONZE - TOTAL

CHINA - 22 - 8 - 5 - 35
USA - 13 - 10 - 16 - 39

THING TO BE WATCHING:: Basketball (CHN vs MLI) (I am asleep now, so this game may be over.. More games to watch tomorrow..)

(Most recent stuff added will be at the top of each category.)

You might want to read this.

Janos Baranyai's elbow thing and Hiroyuki Tomita's fall are definitely the highlights. I hope to see more injuries and falls soon.

OMFG the elbow dislocation was so gross. Shawn Johnson should do well today seeing as she's world champion.. but I'm sure the 12 year old Chinese chicks weren't at that competition.

I'm pretty sure Phelps has only won 5 gold medals, so far, in the 2008 Olympics. He won 6-7 in 2004 Olympics, which would add up to his 11.

Which still makes him the greatest Olympian of all time. This would just further the point.

Phelps is the best swimmer in the world, but not best breaststroker and i do agree on the birth certificate if you saw like 3 of the chines gymnast girls and 2 of the diving girls look so young, and i know oriental people usually look that way but still, btw im watching the womens all around gymnastics now go usa lol

I'm tired of the olympics. The Daily Show and The Colbert Report have been killing them jokes on the Olympics. The few sports kinda seem odd, and not really the best foot forward in some sports.

Baseball, All of them are Minor league players who may or may not have played pro. If the Americans, Dominicans, etc. applied the full force of the MLB, the game would be flat. Next sport would be Women's Fencing. The Electronic scoring system seems odd. You'd think that their would be a simple instant electronic scoring system, but of course there isn't. The Helmet shows a solid team color on the helmet shoung that they have got a touch (a Touch not a hit :/) and they react in a way which is somewhere between elation and rape. Seriously annoying.

The only sport I enjoyed watching was Handball. The fusion of Basketball, Hockey and Soccer, I'm surprised this sport hasn't caught on in the states.

I called Liukin taking that gold. Good for Shawn on the 2nd place... finally a different anthem other than the Chinese in that stadium.

Indoor volleyball is so much more intense than this beach nonsense.
