Ghosts, Alien life, Bigfoot type 'mythic' creatures.

I don't give it any thought actually. But I'll just throw it in there that most aliens in movies suck, every intelligent lifeform ever in the universe is bipedal with extremely similar features to us, except for an extra eye or skin colour change...Lacking creativity? Or trying to save money? Only bigfoot knows

Aliens: 100% (I have no doubt at all that there is other life out there. I believe they could be intelligent. I mean, they may not be weird looking and green with crazy eyes. Who knows, they could look exactly like us. It's possible...)
Mythical Creatures: 10% Bigfoot, I think may be real. But I do have doubts that he's a creature. There are people who grow hair all over, really long and everything. Then they go and live int he woods to get in touch with animals and all that weird nature shit. Extreme Hippies.
Loch Ness monster: Eh, I doubt something as big as a Loch Ness monster could live in a lake without ever being found.
Unicorns: Maybe wild horses with intense skull deformities.
Leprechauns: No, just no.
I could go on forever with a list. Point is though, I think some may be real. Only plausible ones though.
Ghosts: 0%

I can almost never tell when someone is being sarcastic on a forum or any type of online message board, thing, unless there is something like an Italicized or Underlined word to signify the emphasis.Tural wrote:We might need to point out it was loaded with sarcasm, as apparently that wasn't blatantly obvious enough to some people.

Why are you classifying humans as something other than animals?Senor_Grunt wrote:Why are you classifying aliens as animals, we have no proof as to whether they are animals, or beings with a structure such as ours. They are not animals, nor humans, but things. :]
Humans are animals:
-Kingdom: Animalia
Go from there. Just because we are intelligent doesn't grant us any special isolated status on the tree of life. You are right however in it being wrong to suddenly assume aliens as animals.
No. And you're most likely thinking of ALH84001, which is still being debated and analyzed.blarg-blarg-blarg! wrote:Recently, a microscopic life form has been detected on Mars.
"A spectacular move, by Michael Jordan!"
I also had an experience when I was young, and I know it was not my imagination nor was it a dream. It was the real deal so:Dissolution241 wrote:Hahahaha, Chad.
Ghosts? Transparent spooky chain rattling assholes? No. Spirits? 100% yes, due to an experience I had several years ago.
Alien Life - 100%
'Mythic' Creatures - 50%. We'll see.
Ghosts: 100 percent since I've experienced this myself
Aliens: 100 percent, due to the fact that there are alot of other habitable planets.
Mythical creatures: I don't believe in dragons etc, at least not the ones that spit fire and stuff like that.
Note that as an engineering student I'd normally say ghosts are bullshit, but again, that experience changed it all.

I thought they already analyzed and found it formed at too high temperature for life, bleh, I'll look it up.sangheili wrote:Why are you classifying humans as something other than animals?Senor_Grunt wrote:Why are you classifying aliens as animals, we have no proof as to whether they are animals, or beings with a structure such as ours. We had to put our dog down the other day. So I'm sitting in my livingroom with my mom watching tv and all of a sudden we hear a loud clatter in the kitchen. Perplexed as to what it was, my mom went in. Shortly after she called me in. I walk in and I see my dog's food bowl flipped upside-down in the middle of the room. It was upright and in the corner when my mom left minutes earlier. There was nothing around the bowl to have flipped it like that.
Aliens - Easily a yes.
Mythic creatures - Depends on what it is. Some theories are utter crap.

For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.
Ghosts - 0%
Aliens - 0%
Mythic blahblah - 0%
Until I see concrete definitive proof, I'm not going to assume that it exists. That being said, I'm not set on believing that they don't exist; I'd be happy to see them proven to exist. I find it strange that the people who regularly bash religion here have no problem believing in aliens without any proof.
And that being said, I do have a vivid imagination and I'm incredibly interested in all this stuff. The jersey devil is probably my favorite mythic thingy, and I really liked both ghost busters movies and Alien.

Black-eyed-people are probably the scariest things I've read about. They look just like people you know, but they're pale and have all black eyes and they bang on your door and are all "LET ME IN RAWR."Dissolution241 wrote:I was interested in that too, and I ended up scaring the **** out of myself.

Aliens- 100% Universe is of an epic scale that this makes an easy 'Yes', but I severely doubt they have visited earth. I lean more towards an early form or microbial kind of life.
Mythic-15% The only mythic creature i see as possible is bigfoot, but even then its a longshot.
