Here is my ak-47 that i have so far spent about 4 hours modeling from scratch. yah chamfer the edges so they arent so sharp. to do this in max simply go to edit mesh>select edges>select all the edges you want to chamfer>and click on the slider and drag to your desired amount. i am pretty sure of this. i havent been using max a whole lot lately. i have been working in maya mostly.
I just realized i cant chamfer at all, everything ends up real wierd and undesirable, can you point me to a tutorial that explains how to chamfer with desirable results?
trust me, use the chamfer tool. But if you don't know how to use t you will make your models messed up, plus your models have to be set up correclty first of all. Just make a box editable poly -> Select edges, select 2 edges accross from eachother and then find the chamfer button click on it and a box will pop up put a number in and then find the right one so you know what it will look like and that you will like it
