I rather dislike the "The [Insert Interest Type Here] Thread" thing. This goes for music, books, and movies. The music thread is a better example, because it actually worked. Books, not so much. Movies, a thread destined for failure. If there is a movie worth discussing, its discussion will be dismantled in a mega-thread like that. An individual topic for various movies is not something that is a problem. It keeps discussions organized and on-track. A big thread for all movies is just going to reduce activity on the board. Movie threads are posted frequently, and they do have good discussions. There is no reason why a thread for all movies is needed. Books is different, as rarely is there ever a book thread, dedicated to one book.
I think users should be discouraged from making these genre threads on their own accord. Staff should be analyzing the impact of threads on the board, and if necessary, making a thread to increase activity or regulate out-of-control discussions. Movies is the opposite of this. It causes more problems than it solves (Number of problems with movie threads: 0; number of problems "The Movie Thread" solves: 0).

This'll be my last post for a while. Today at swim practice I got my ipod touch stolen, and my dad thinks I can't be responsible for my own stuff, so he took everything away. Computer, phone, TV, everything. So don't bother PM'ing me or anything for a long time. I have to type fast because my dad's coming down soon, and he's going to take my computer. So have fun without me, tell me what I missed when I come back. Signing off.

Adios, 0m3g4Muff1n987.
By the way, it would've been much more cool had you made your typing sloppier as the time went on you were typing. Therefore symbolizing how your dad was coming, adding to the drama of the post.
But that's just me
Anyway, not much point to that, since you won't see it.
My rant:
I don't have one yet... but it's coming...

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.

Well, investigate as much as you can before buying a new controller, just to be safe.Pepsi wrote:I dunno. My daughter was running around with it today and now its not working. She had it for like 2 mins that I know of but thats my fault for leaving it out. I think im going to just buy a new controller.

Edit:
