Index was outside the bounds of the array

alright, i tried rebuild a single player map with a duplicate grenade. I used the same steps (modified slightly for sp rebuilding of course) as i've used recently to rebuild a mp map several times with a duplicate grenade. Every time i try to rebuild the sp map, i get an error after i have shown the rebuilder where the vertices and indices are. the error says

The index was outside the bounds of the array.
Any ideas of what this means? i've tried twice, and will try a third time, but maybe i'm missing some crucial element thanks for the help

EDIT: never mind, i figured out how to do what i want without two nades
