...and it doesn't stand a chance of being a "halo killer"

Oh, and I'm not downloading it. 3 Red lights. Yay.

The fact that every good game is called a "Halo killer" really speaks more about Halo than it does the other games.

Anyways, played the demo, it was 'meh.' I don't think I'll be buying it after all.

I can't get this out of my head...I just can't even see how one can come to such a conclusion... please GametagAeonFlux...enlighten me...how did you come to such a...crazed...conclusion.
I've watched videos of it, and it sounds like it has a mediocre storyline with bland gameplay. Sure, you can make the trailer look all cool by having the character fist fight the Big Daddy, and get a drill stuck through his gut, but that doesn't save the fact that it's just another FPS when you get to play it.
 Mediocre Storyline?!? Bland Gameplay!?! ... and I thought I was Nuts... Good God Man, look again... Dynamic A.I, Awesome Graphics ( water FTW) A Deep Storyline ( the what happened to the utopia/ Mystery kind of thing), a RPG aspect in customization in a Shooter. The atmosphere is Top-noch. The game is already stated to be Game of the Year.

They set out to make the Shooter 2.0. And good golly..so far..by the looks of it

I have to agree with the majority of the staff. The gameplay is absolutely boring. Most of the time i find myself running in reverse as fast as i can shooting the flame plasmid things at enemies, because my crowbar sucks, pistol is even weaker and ammo is hard to come by, and the machine gun shoots SO SLOW and yet it has INCREDIBLE KICKBACK. The weapons are just terrible. The electric shock power is completely worthless. You shock somone, and they just freeze for a second or two, and little to no damage is inflicted. whoooooo .

Don't even get me started on that damned security camera. If you're spotted by it, then a damn loud alarm sounds, and everything goes red. You're then assaulted by an army of theese miniature helicopter robots with machine guns on them, which just absolutely tear you to pieces. If you knock one down with electric shock, you've got enough time to take out 1/3 of hsi health with your wrench before it goes back up and assaults you again. Then on top of that, an army of those mutant freaks attack you, too. I found myself running into the bathroom inside a stall, equipping fire, and just catching everything that came near me on fire until the alarm went away.

Then as soon as i left the bathroom; security lolengaged AGAIN. So then another rabid assault against me. In order to survive, i've gotta shock one of those robots and disable it. While on the floor, I need to hack it. The hacking minigame is the most disfunctional piece of shit minigame I have ever played. More often than not, though, I ended up failing the game and the robot just explodes in my face, which just about killed me every time I did it. Eventually, I just chose the "Pay ten dollars to autohack it" route. Once I finally got out of that room, I get into a medical area. I go through a door, and it closes behind me. Then a random video is projected on the wall and talks to me, and the demo ends. It was absolutely terrible. Plus, everything is dark as shit. I turn the brightness all the way up, but it doesn't help. The dark places remain just as dark, but the light places get brighter. Gay.

Shock is fairly effective when you do it, then melee the enemy.

Yes, security camera sucks. The key is to shock it and run past.

I just got done playing it on Normal.....In The Dark......Home Alone...With the Stereo System on full Volume. I wish I could have fought a Big Daddy, I was thinking it would have been a bit longer.

Honestly, the water didn't impress me. Amazing in the videos, bland in the game. If this is what Halo 3's water has to compete with, I don't Bungie should be worried.

Heh finally got to play it. I like it. Oh how I wished to be able to fight a big daddy though. Graphics were what I was expecting, nothing that fantasmic, but still great.

One Half hour download. This is a thinking shooter. I am getting this game. There seems to be a lack of knowledge of bioshock in this thread.

More Later.

Shock is usefull if you ever listened to the guy on the radio or watch g4 when they talked about it. Shock the water when there are several enemies and it will kill them all. Shock a turret/flying gunner and hack it. My only complaint is that you couldnt fight a big daddy or have telekinesis in the demo.

Really now? The people who played it don't know how the gameplay is? You're just being defensive because you like the game, so you're claiming there's a "lack of knowledge" to make up for the fact that people don't like it.

Your Assumptions are incorrect. FReAK's Post was the tipping point of My conclusion of such. One has seen all the videos, you would know already on how to use
