Yeah, your computer should blow it away (with the exception of the RAM).
My recommendation: make sure you have the latest GPU drivers (OC your GPU if you want), kill any unnecessary background processes and applications, and get another gig of RAM.
I have 2GB of RAM, a 7900 GS (which I OC before runtime), and a 2.8 Ghz Pentium D on my system and it runs pretty well, but it takes up about 1.5 GB of RAM. It could be that your system is having trouble overwriting the data already in RAM, which adding RAM should resolve (even with a 533 Mhz throughput on your RAM bus).
If it still fails to improve the FPS, it could have something to do with how your system is handling Anti-Aliasing. Consider turning down AA a little.
