Making a gun fire slower

Well, I've been looking for this for a while, and lately, I haven't been getting any results. I've tried to change the magnum to fire slower, and every time I change something, it just doesn't seem to work. FYI, I want to make the magnum fire slower because I upped its damage, sort of like Halo 1. Help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I would change the chamber time, and leave the fire rate the same. A chamber time of 0.25 would probably be a good start, and tweak it how you want it from there.

Those options would be in the weapon tag?
