3dsmax texture question

i got the trial for 3dsmax 9, and its nice, but when I flip the box's faces the other side is balck. Is there a way to change this to clear, like in gmax?

Turn on backface culling, either under view settings or object properties

A quick way to get to Object Properties in 3ds Max is to position the mouse pointer over the object, hold the P key, then press and hold the right mouse button, then let go of the P key, then release the right mouse button. Also, when backface culling is enabled, using "ignore backfacing" in a model type, like Editable Mesh, will aid you when you want to select faces that have their normals facing away from you. To see-through an object, use the keyboard shortcut ALT + X, or you can toggle it in the Object Properties dialog.
