Conversion mappack

Conversion Mappack(i know this is already a mappack so go to this topic to discuss the name)
This is a project that i would like to announce. This is a new BSP Mappack. Anyone can enter

Rules to enter:
  • Map must be playable (thats a brainier)
  • No modding that affects gameplay
  • Make your BSP then send me the beta
  • You may enter in more than one map, many may go in
  • Must be system linkable
  • BSP modifications are aloud
  • New scenery is allowed
  • No extensive skins
  • Light Mapping and new Sky's and New environments are allowed
  • Playable with all game types
Just as a note: after you complete the rebuilding of your map, make a master backup somewhere safe, perhaps burn it to a CD for safe keeping.
Who ever gets an idea please PM me AND post a reply in this topic.


And also give me the exact name of the BSP you are going to use

When you are done with your map... or you want beta testing send them to me and i will distribute them to our beta testers. Dont give your map to anyone else if you are planing to enter in the mappack due to somone stealing your map.
  • Please make your map a serenity patch. Also make sure it works! We have been having problems with serenity patches working with these new mods.

    How to submit a Map:

    Code: Select all

    If it is a beta use this:

    The outcomes:

    And when in done with that map for the last time, submit with the following:

    keep up the great work and submit betas, our tester test the map throughly and give a huge checklist on what is needed and what is not needed.

    **NOTE**
    IF you do not send the map correctly it will be replied and deleted. You can however send it again only with the right tags. This is important for origination. Because i have a lot of messages and i don't know what one are for the mappack.

    Also include a download!
Rules for beta testers follow these guidlines
  1. Must be capable of testing new and old maps
  2. Must have MSN messenger
  3. Be able to notice small and important things/ attention to small detail
  4. Gaming Experience
  5. Must have Xbox Connect to test maps

why not start early? get the idea down before someone else does. think of how fun this map pack would be at a system link party!

I will make an Outskirts one. I've loved Turf and I've been waiting for this level.

The piece I will use is the little city streets in between Hotel Zanzibar and the second Pelican area (Where Sarge gets picked up).

PM if you need more info or to give me info.

Consider Outskirts called by me for said Map Pack.

Yeah, I agree why not just let people try out what they want on their own then later do this. I think people will find it a lot better doing it on their own first then later download the already made mods for a bigger BSP if they are to lazy to do a different map or something.

I can see this, but if we make a polished Map Pack now, it might help spare us from all the inevitable beginner "concept" maps that are just the conversion + a tree.

Oh, I don't mean conversions forever, no, you are right, no one can call dibs on that. I'm just calling dibs on this one in TH2MODSoULMBoCOM's proposed Map Pack. However, he is perfectly free to throw me over for somebody with a better version than me for his Map Pack.

i know that. people can make any map they want. im jsut saying that cuz i dont want 20 outskirts coming in to get in the map pack. i jsut want people to know that somone else is working on the same map. that way it will save them time when they figure out that they made that map and someones else map went in

Alright, it finally loaded. This program is a freaky memory eater.

The BSP should be scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombassa\earthcity_1.

Unless it has intro bsp but that should all be in the intro_bsp.

I will do more than just the conversion, but I'm not making a projectile map or anything low quality. I need perfection, so I'll get as close as possible.

i think you should enter it. it was awsome. i would put it in... you know unless some else makes the same one except better.

just add some new stuff to it. and if you dont mind can u send me a patch for it through PM, cuz that looks awesome (im not going to do anything to it i just want to check out the awesome mongoose and play this map)
