Bungie should make that a single player easter egg, it would be so awesome!

It was thrown down. You don't need a dive or roll if you're losing. 1up said they were doing good enough that they didn't have to activate their X buttons. Which brings me to my next point, you don't activate a dive or roll. Nobody has proposed anything which can fit into the information we have been given other than those of us who say it is the shield device.

i know it would not be the x button thing. i was just saying it would be cool to see MC dive in first person (i think i said that if not oops) but ya i honestly can not think of anything which would change gameplay drasticly. But someting that someone previosuly stated was the hold x to view the map and strategies for your team. But ya...i really can not think of a awesome changing game play activation thing.

That's a grenade, so they have displayed the answer. Maybe it's like the Jedi Choke in Starwars Battlefront II.

actually, a grenade makes an explosion, and in the halo 3 multiplayer, they show 3 different grenade types, and the shape of the bubble shields "grenade" is not shaped like either.

Correct. It is not displayed as a grenade on the HUD. It was a long, long time ago, but in recent images, it is not. Only frag, plasma, and spike grenades are shown now. Also, being a standard grenade type would be unbelievably unbalanced. You would be able to pick them up from other people, and could go through a whole game just using those, never getting hit. This is why it is only balanced if used, say, once. Such as a special feature, like the X button. Self-destruct wouldn't help you if you were losing, it would hinder you.

It would slightly help you, it would be amusing while you lose.
Violence is not the answer, it is the question. The answer is yes.
