you need to make sure that the mainmenu.map and shared.map are in the same folder as the map you are modding, if you are doing a single player map make sure you have the single_player_shared.map in there as well.

ok, I have all of my essential maps (mainmenu, single player shared and shared) along with the map I am modding (old mombassa) on my desktop and it still gives me the error. I'm using v1.5, i guess I'll just try 1.3 or 1.4.

It looks like your using my version of Entity. If thats the case go to tools then settings and set the external map paths.

I really should have made it if you didnt set the paths it looks for the maps the default way. If I release a new update i'll be sure to fix that.

no, unless you are modding a halo ce map, and you said you are modding a halo 2 map so you should be fine

Wait your getting the "Internal - Map not found" error, not "External - Map not found"

You shouldnt get that when opening something internal to the map. Are you sure your map isnt currupted becouse that is a odd error to get.

No I dont think your doing anything wrong because I've got the same error, and it seems the only thing that works is re-setting your map paths almost everytime you want to do something, but it only happens in the Entity v1.5 DLC creation for some reason, try doing it like that. I know it's a pain but it works, well at least for me it does.. Hope that helps a lil..
