The scariest game series!
Resident Evil has my vote on this one. Which gaming series do you find to be the creepiest, or best for that matter? the RE1 remake gives me the absolute chills. The PSX version was scary enough, but now with added photorealistic environments and Crimson Heads, that mansion just gotta hell of a lot creepier

I like Doom 3 the best (the other doom series were fun but they aren't even remotely scary). Yes, it is very dark but really that is what makes it a great game. You hear something in the distance and you flash your flashlight at it and it turns out to be a hellnight.
FEAR was just a lot of hollywood special effects, so it was good but a bit too cheesy.
I haven't played Silent Hill or Resident Evil, though. My friend played Silent Hill and it just sounds really cheesy and weird.

I've only really played DooM, so I can't say much allong the lines of what was scarier.

Even DooM had a few (yes, that is possible on a sprite-based game, lol)Tyrant wrote:I agree that Doom 3 was indeed scary, but it lacked the moments that make you jump suddenly. Even the Suffering had a few of those. Too bad it only let me put four choices

Agreed. I was a just a little kid when I first played that and I'd have to say some parts were pretty freaky for me. Especially on I think the last level with the snow yeti's.Dan!! wrote:The sewer levels in Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for n64. No joke.
FEAR isn't a series(yet) so don't bring it into this even though I completely disagree with whoever said it was cheesy. It just actually had a story unlike Doom or Quake...
But as for my scariest series, I would have to go with the RE games too. Only played a few but there were some good moments and good scares.
