help me with mods plz

ok so yeah...I downloaded a mod for the pc version of halo that adds a ton of bunkers to sidewinder but have no idea how to activate it. i have activated mods before but they were map files, this is a rar. also there is a two new weapons mod that I downloaded and cant get to work, it is for blood gulch. can someone please walk me through it?

Google 'WinRAR' and download the program. WinRAR will uncompress the files and there'll either be a patch or a .map file for you to put in the maps directory.
