Scene regular, Santium, hit by drunk driver and killed
I am sorry to announce that James Blandford (Known as 'santium' online) passed away last night at age 29 when he was hit by a drunk driver on his way home from work. He leaves behind a wife and 2 children.
Santium, since the very beginning, has been an active forum member and avid supporter of the Mimesis project. He will be missed greatly. He was the first ever self proclaimed "Mimesis whore", as his profile so proudly displays even still. He was very knowledgable about webservers and web technologies and became a valuable resource to the Mimesis team while putting this site together. Santium also created the Mimesis config generator, out of the kindness of his heart, for those who didnt want to hassle with the xml config file manually. He always enjoyed helping out in any way that he could. He was a good friend and we were lucky to have had him around. You will be missed, man.
Rest in peace.
For funeral information, contact Amanda Blandford for information. If you have any words you would like said at the funeral service, his wife asks that you send them now, along with your name to AIM screen name: barroncyp.

Santium fakes his own death for attention
Well the jury is in, Santium's not really dead. He is, however, a very sick and twisted individual to pull a stunt like this. The supspicion started early when I went to his myspace that he had given to me in the past, www.myspace.com/santium and saw that he was not a 29 year old, but a 17 yr old just like we all thought. I also searched in myspace.com for his name, James Blandford, and it too brought me to the exact same "Santium" profile. After AC told his "wife", who we can only assume was none other than Santium himself pretending to be a woman stricken with grief, about the myspace page, shortly thereafter it was mysteriously changed from public to private satus. Not to be detered, I modified the url in such a way to gain access to his comments. What I found was perfect, one of his girlfriends cell phone numbers. When I called the number I asked if she knew who James Blandford was. She replied by saying she had hung out with him just 2 hours before! She went on to describe him as a "computer geek" who often mentioned the Mimesis software which, of course, only served to confirm my suspicions that Santium had lied about his own tragic death in order to get attention from strangers online. I left her with my name and phone number in order for her to pass them along to him. Finally, out of curiosity, I did a superpages lookup for his name and found his phone number and address. He lives in Cheseapeake, Virginia. His myspace and reverse lookup confirm that as well.
Something like this is distgusting to say the least. We apologize for the confusion, but as you can tell we are just as shocked and distgusted as I am sure you are right now.

If there is one thing that we can all take form this, its a quote from CLuis: "There are no drunk drivers on the information super highway." Maybe we should remember that the next time.
