[WIP] SentinelBase2 <- take a look :)

Using the battle rifle would be you're best bet as its clip is located behind the trigger/handle, not unlike the AR...

True.

Having the Assault Rifle as its own weapon and the default starting weapon could bring some real balance to Halo 2. Nice ROF, and improve the accuracy and power from the first game thanks to the new barrel, and I'll just assume the non slanted barrel guard means it's using a higher caliber round (although the original was a 7.62 NATO, so we'd have to use .38cal/9.652mm rounds).

Be sure to give it it's own HUD, make a nice logo for it in the top right of the screen (not hard, just take a side view of the model and resize and make it white), and it's own crosshair. And to make sure that it has its own pickup text, swap the string_id out for the fuel rod gun's text. Then edit them all to either AssualtRifle or MA5C or something. That's what I did to give the second shotgun its own name in Biohazard v3.

EDIT: I just saw ScottyGEE's sig, it pwns.

I can try - I'll take a look at the image format for it. Hopefully recursive duplication of a weapon will clone the image too - otherwise we'll have nothing to inject over if you plan on having it as its own weapon and not replacing anything.

yea the BR would work then all you'd need to do is give the bullets some spread fire and inject the AR sound (if you can inject that sound)

Is that a regular Sentinel Beam, or a Sentinel Captain Beam? Nobody is going to pick up a Sentinel Beam.. ;)

You dont need to make the image the same format. If you do what shalted found out with the reticles, you can do that with any part of the HUD, but you wont have to reference everything. I did that to get a new shield meter. O.O

Aha, yeah I jsut got a good read of that. Now I just gotta get the freakin' thing to extract properly so I cna have something to work with.

Making a custom HUD for the Assaulst rifle would be an easy almost 5 minute job :P
