You said nothing that could even be considered an implication. Your tense was wrong, I was simply correcting it so that you wouldn't sound incoherent.

Edit: Meh, too lazy to go back and add the quote now, just pretend the two posts above this one aren't there.

yes ther were 7 rings though it may be possible that the system of the riungs were designed so they could still operate if one of the rings were to fail aka overclock the other rings.
that is what i was implying.

[quote]We used the TVs and audio to demo the fact that the game was realtime to an assortment of press. Basically CJ Cowan (or TJ Cohen as he's now known) and Marcus Lehto, our cinematic and art directors respectively, flew around our environment.

There wasn't much to show at the moment, since we're keeping things under warps for now, but CJ clued everyone in on the 3-mile wide Forerunner artifact, Cortana's state of mind and the Chief (no it's not Linda, or Kelly

i read this on Bungie.net ...this is sweet!
Bungie Weekly Update wrote: StupidNinja asks,

Should we expect to see blowing sand and other particle effects during gameplay, or only during cut scenes?
For the "level" shown in the trailer, is the massive size of the surrounding area something that is tangible? Does it really seem like you are on a huge, wide open plain?

The sand, dust, smoke and other effects are all from the game engine. They will be used in the game. The landscape you saw is real geometry - the mountains and city in the distance are not a skybox - they are actual geometry that you can go to. Our cut scenes and our gameplay will be very comparable. Also, CJ Cowan, our director of cinematics, says that the texture "pop" seen in Halo 2's cinematics has already gone bye-bye for Halo 3.
