that is way too slow to play online.
thats like almost dialup speed.

Unless he specifically says he wants to use his 56k modem to go on something like Xlink (if you could with such lag) this topic is still legit.
But if you (author) are going to try and get on Xlink then please go to Xbox-Scene, as stated before.

Sheesh, I can't stand dial-up.

My suggestions:

1. If you live with your parents, ask them to get a DSL or Comcast high speed internet service.

2. Buy DSL, don't stick with dial-up.
