Bitmap help

Ok so i was skinning with HMT3.5 and i added a skin. and well when i wanted to take off skin i went into hmt and clicked on bitmap but it said invaled file. i have no idea what to do can someone plz tell me how to get my bitmap to work. i even dleted that bitmap and added my orginal but still it gives me the same error. someone help

ok i went right into hmt and saved the old texture. i up loaded he bluetibel skin i got from here and i added it. i saved went into halo and played around. it worked fine. then i decided i wanted old texture so i went back into hmt but hmt wouldnt load up the bitmap file it said somthing like not a valid halo map or not a valid file. one of em. i even went to more backups and loaded my old bitmap and it says the same thing

Try replacing bitmaps.map. Any problem you have is probably coming from there.

i did i replaced the one with the skin with the original . it still didnt work

Your original bitmaps.map might be infected, then. I'd recommend reinstalling. This error usually occurs when the bitmaps.map file becomes corrupted, and overwriting with the original file usually fixes the problem. But if you say you tried that and it didn't work, the only thing I'd assume is that your original bitmaps.map has gone bad.

ok thank u very much but is there a faster way to get bitmaps.map file without reinstalling?

Open up the cd. If you don't know how, go to "My Computer", And go to your cd drive. Right click it and go to open. Now go to filescab and check all of the .rar archives until you find bitmaps.map

i went and right clicked and pressed open but it wouldnt open...

nothing... i clicked open and then a lil time tingy on the mouse then it went normal and then nothing happend

OK I DONT FREAKING GET IT i just reinstalled halo and it still didnt work. shuld i reinstall hmt?
