Due to Grenadiac's recent unreachable state, I'm making Malf a moderator based on my judgment of his activities. I believe personally and professionally that he is up to the task, and if I deem him unfit, he will be stripped of his title.

Seems reasonable... As long as he is demoted if he acts irresponsibly.

I'm sure Aztec wouldn't risk his title of Admin if he didn't think I were up to the job.

Nothing too bad

No porn or anything, and I myself have been much, much more harsh than that to people on these forums.

The first image shows me getting angry at cheaters/idiots after posting complete and utterly stupid things. I like how you decided not to show where I had been flamed on those threads, and there was a moderator giving warnings for flaming while he himself was flaming.

I don't really see much wrong with the second image apart from a few minor spam posts?

And the third, well, thats when you kept banning me for no reason, wasn't it? So I gave you a reason to do so.

Logan, perhaps you should read the first post in this thread and not be so quick to jump to conclusions. You have no idea how I act in a position of (proper) power, because you've never seen me in one. It seems most people, apart from you, are supportive of this. On the forums, and in the IRC channel. How about you lay off the negative posts like your one shown above before you have seen enough from me as a moderator to make a properly educated stance.

I don't believe any current mods have ever made any 'minor spam posts'.

You were never banned for no reason, and even if that was the case, it does not give you a reason to spam.

If someone has access to the admin CP and there's no procedures for appointing moderators other than clicking the button, there's nothing you can do. Your choices are severely limited: Live with it or start / join a different site.

I like Halomods just the way it is.

There certainly is a procedure for appointing moderators, and past behavior, no matter what the context, counts for a LOT. Moderators almost always have a pristine record of not breaking any rules, because they set the example for the regular users. That is why I almost always approve of moderators personally before they get the go-ahead. There have been some times when people have made mistakes as moderators, but those have been few and far between.

If Malf wants to be a moderator, he will have a LOT of positive things to contribute in order to make up for his past. Does that mean he will never be a moderator? Well, I always think people can be given second chances, so it really depends on Malf to make up for some of the things he has done.
