i basically just made a game with lives and then killed a person till they ran out of lives, then took out the you are out of lives bar that comes up... its simple but its a good substitute untill we get "real" 3rd person.

It could have been done with hex workshop, or any other hex program for that matter, by transfering the map file from the xbox to the PC.
I'm still waiting for a more detailed tutorial on how to do this. Basically you've said you tricked the game into thinking the person is dead, which brings up that nifty third person camera until the person respawns. However, is there a way to rotate the camera? Pitch it up a little? In its current state this 3rd person camera would severly limit your vision.
