Here's a question for you folks:

My sound card is working just fine, however, when both the speakers and the volume control on the computer are turned up full blast the sound out of the speaker is so quiet I can't hear it... I know it's not my speakers, and I'll probibly just get some cheap $20 sound card...

There's a simple solution. Don't turn ur speakers to full blast, just your computer.

Sorry... I'm not very good with figures of speech. What's no dice mean?

Play around with the volume dial on ur speakers... this happens with my old ones and my friend's ones. You just gotta find a position wehre it isn't faded.

No, I put my entire system in a new Thermaltake case and for about 5 minutes I forgot to ground myself so I think I static-shocked it by accident, got a new card just now and it works fine so...

I think somewhere in the audio settings, you can change the settings for what environment you are in and what speakers you have. If you have the incorrect settings, you'll get weird sounds or really quiet echoing sounds.
