FTP help

i dont have a modded xbox
i play online
how do i FTP into my box so i can make mods for halo2
please help
and im new at this so please make a detailed tut on how to

xecuter 3 get that mod chip then u can ftp to it

dont listen to Xe-Bec. YOU DONT NEED A CHIP. to FTP, simply google for a program called FlashFXP. Turn on your xbox, and follow these steps...

Make sure you have an exploitable game (007, Mechassault, splintercell) and a softmod installer pack (even though you wont be using it to install) just to gain FTP access to your box.

Networking using a HUB

Step 1: Take an RJ-45 cable and run it from one of the ports of the hub, directly to the Network Interface Card (NIC) installed in your computer.

Step 2: Take another RJ-45 cable and run it from a different port of your hub directly to your xbox.

Step 3. Make sure your PC has a static IP address. Go into your NIC

Ummmm, yes, you need a mod to FTP, as M$ Dash does not have a built in FTP server... Either that or a softmod but he has updated through xbl. Think a little before you post.

EDIT: Read it more and your post makes no sense, he said he DOESN'T have a modded xbox, so how would he have a non-M$ dash?

And trust me, I know my modding xbox's, I have done many.

ok guy...u say you've done SOOOO many boxes, then you would know that you can gain FTP access to your box WITHOUT modding it. Maybe YOU should think a little before you try to come on here and prove someone wrong. i MUST admit you are right about me mis-reading the part that says that he DOESNT have a modded box BUT NONETHELESS, you CAN gain FTP access into your box without having it modded. maybe you should spend your free time at xboxscene and do some reading. AND the whole thing about the M$ dash not having a built in FTP server...you are correct BUT it DOES have its exploitable part allowing you to run unsigned code. I went ahead and included a tutorial for him ANYWAYS. I commend you on your nice try.

Ok well first, HE PLAYS ONLINE. M$ fixed the exploit, so why dont YOU read a little more. And no, you cannot FTP without modding unless you use a Mechassault, 007 Agent Under Fire, or Splinter Cell "hack" aka "exploit" without EVER being on Xbox live, which he did get on XBL so NO EXPLOIT FOR HIM. So yes, read Marine123's 1'st post, as if you truly knew xbox modding you would realize he cant exploit. So modchip is his only way.

EDIT: And anything not meant to do with the xbox is modding, so therefore you are modding.

EDIT2: and yes I know he cant exploit because I gave him one and it failed to load.

Exploits are mods, people. A modded xbox could be modded with an exploit. That's why it's called a softmod. lol

Damn M$ fixed the exploit and thats it...softmodding is DONE with huh? haha. M$ didnt FIX a damn thing my friend. IF YOU KNEW what you were talking about you would know that there will be NO MORE dash updates from microsoft. thats it v1.6b is the last xbox version. THEY ARE stopping production on xbox's and are concentrating on xbox 360 (xbox 2). YOU HAVE TO BE SOME SORT OF IDIOT to say what you just said. AND yes you can FTP without modding. His is fixed because I'M TALKING TO HIM ON AIM AND IVE SENT HIM 2 EXPLOITS AND GUESS WHAT. THEY DONT WORK. So maybe talk to him a little more, dumb@ss. STFU before you drown in your own stupidity.
