ok i need to cut down on some polys, using 3dmax i can import to somthin else if i need to but need some ideas if anyone can help me out, i am very low on ideas

if you've ever seen scarface

you could give it a 2ndary fire...like the on that Montana uses at the very end that shoots the explosives for an alt fire

but something like that maybe

lol i luv that movie
but the battle rifle would be weird to have a nade launcher too. like its more for sniping quickly like a better pistol then to be close combat with a nade launcher. but for the AR it would be tight if some1 did that.

Thats basically what that first gun is on my site for my game (see sig) its got a mini rocket launcher and ar type automatic weapon too. go to my site below and check them out.

I think thats the best looking model of the Battle Rifle so far. Cunt wait to get that into the game.

ive got a new model for it to put into halo but i need help injecting it back in. it was a few too many polys and i need to cut it down can someone help??

Maybe if you post the model in the uploads section, people can help to get this thing where it needs to be.. in the game. Also, I don't think that you should deviate from the original design of the battle rifle. Slow high powered shots. Add the sound from the halo2 trailer, and a nice zoom. I'm guessin the zoom is at about 2x same as pistol. But like I said, if you are willing to share, put that bad boy up in the uploads.

Yeah, I'd love to get my hands on model and sound assets for the battle rifle, and have someone write a tut for it, that'd be excellent, it's one weapon I'd love to have in bg =]

problem is guys is that the model i posted is impossible to put into the game right now, just b/c u need the same number of indicies as another model. but i made one from the ar and i believe its the best so far as teh battlerifle goes, but my exporter isnt working so this is y i keep posting asking for help. i can post of render later to show u guys, i dont know how great it will look in the game though havnt been able to test it cause this CRAP EXPORTER.

Pass it on to someone who has a better exporter then, the masses need your battle rifle! lol

I could design a nice rifle, but I lack the graphical ingenuity to create the models etc and get them into the game...

Animated scope protruding from the weapon, and extending barrel when u switch to the weapon, with some cool machinery type sounds when it does.

And, small explosive shells ;)

ok guys im gonna put up both models tonight but since my obj exporters arnt working right im gonna have to put them up as .3ds formats unless someone else has a better idea.

The last pic was the one with the asme indicies? Nice. Tonight I will try to inject . Also will have to try and think about skinning that bad boy as well. Would be cool to swap projectiles for sniper bullets, add 2x zoom, new sounds, and slower rate of fire.
