how to replace vehicles

how do I replace the warthog with a rockethog? Also what program do I use to create my own skins for vehicles, weapons and a level. Do I use milk shape to edit the shape of guns and vehicles or is there a better way?

ok use adobe photoshop 7.0 for the bitmaps and grab the .dds plugin from the download section.
Then use milkshape to model the weapons i find 1.7.0 the best vesion to date.
For the rocket hog i guess you use hmt to change the VEHI tag and set i to how you want then use HHT and swap the warthog chaingun projectile to the rocket.
