ok,
we have some bad news and some even more bad news.

Lately my 3D Studio Max 5.1 and 6 have been screwey and I haven't been able to use them without freezing. So the Tutorial videos are going to have to be on hold until I figure out on howto fix this problem, or I reinstall... which I highly doubt will happen since Im not having any trobules, but if worse comes to worse Im just going to restore it to about 10 days before... but I don't want to take the chance of losing all of my work. So for now that's that and I hope I get it working soon! over and out... haha shit... later all

Im back up and running

so I might beable to start but I have some work to do for OSP first

and mac I was 10 when I got the name

I was young and kept asking questions that were in the "faq" and then they gave me the name oldfaq and now Im 15

dammit man....i keep gettin a serious system error whenever i open ur vids...then my comp goes into safe mode and i have to shut down

captain lag, the [img] tags don't support .BMP so it won't show as an image

Nice tut though! Its really helped. I have a few questions though..

1. I've messed up my handle by chamfering, and its too late to Undo. Is there any way i can "unchamfer"? I don't want to select each point and move it back to its original place...

2. Is there any way i can make the amount of items in the History thing bigger? Right now i can only undo so many times (its actually not many times) and then i can't undo anymore.. In photoshop i can set it to 1000 history items

3. Is there a history pallet like in photoshop? I've seen these on other 3d progs (like c4d) but i can't find one in 3D Studios

and finally.. How can i change the colours/design of 3D Studios?

BTW the colors arnt fucked....thats what happened after i got the error (my comp went into safemode)

i looked it up....i have everything updated for it....windows and WMP....uuhhhh so i kinda cant learn to model good

can someone convert these to another file type maybe??

i hope i'm just missin a codec or something

You don't need WMP to view em (i hate wmp, it always messes up my comp)

Download DivX and open the DivX Player (should be on desktop as a shortcut, if not look in Start menu > Programs somewhere).
Once you've opened DivX Player, click the little arrow in the top left corner of it. Now choose Open File and search for the movie

To open it full size, double click anywhere inside the player. Double click it again to go back to normal size..

And single click while its in full size for a little playback pallet thingy where you can pause, fastforward etc etc...

boy have i been modeling wrong! lol if thats the way u do it, good thinking, if thats the way everyone does it, then i must be extremely stupid, i would think of what im making in my head, using some reference photos, and just come as close to it as possible. lol,

ok....i need some help here

i have to use a browser called mozilla cause when i open internet explorer, i get plagued with popups for the rest of the damn day

and when i try to download stuff, 50% of the time it works, but the other 50% i get a whole page full of encoded crap and it says something about "cant run download in DOS mode" or some crap like that

so if anyone knows whats goin on, i would appreciate it if u could help

u can always use ad-aware and get rid of all the spyware which cause pop-ups

i already have ad-aware, and it does help a little

but its not spyware, its internet explorer itself

as soon as i open it, i get popups, then for the rest of the day, i keep getting popups

mozilla has a built in popup blocker however

well a good solution is always Google Toolbar for internet explorer....has a great popup blocker and is the only toolbar that actually isnt spy/ad ware
