Custom Skins on Custom Maps? Need Help Bad!!!

Is it possible to put custom hog skins on custom maps because me and my friend are building a map and im skinning the hog he tuned the physics for and he would like it to have a custom skin just wondering if this could be done or not?

if its for normal halo, yes. Make all the changes u want, save, and look here...

no....for like ce maps...yeah i think you can...first, extract the warthog.dds and edit it. then you just have to convert the .dds into a .tif then use tool.exe to convert it into a .bitmap and then replace the warthog .bitmap tag with that one...

for ce im really stuck my friends map is in beta stage now and were trying to get this hog skin in for final release

i,personally, dont do a lot of CE modding, so i cant help u here. But i remember seeing a few posts on how to do this....somewhere. Search around and u shud find wat u want.

This might be possible. Just extract the warthog .dds from Halo PC, change it into a .tif file, create a bitmap tag using tool, and then replace the old warthog bitmap tag with yours and that's it.
