Cant Host games no more....

Recently my ability to host games has disappeared.. i have no idea what caused it but its REALLY getting on my nerves.

before recently to host a game i would unplug my router and plug my internet cable directly into my computer. this would keep the routers firewall from blocking halo.

But for some reason now when i do that people get the generic cannot join game message. ive tried a couple of basic remedy's for this but none have given me good results.

so im asking if anyone knows what could cause this or if anyone has any good diagnostic programs or anything that could help me figure out what is blocking halo.


BTW i can still join games and yes my internet is hooked up... (just so nobody asks)

check you're ports.
my friend couldn't host until we added a couple ports.

add those two and it should work.
