Grand Theft Auto 4
I dunno about you all, but i cant wait for the game. ive been a fan of the games since i played the first one. but now here the 4th one (9th game of the GTA series, first of the 4th generation) is coming. So.. what do you know about it? all i know is that its gonne be amazing graphics and really realistic. im excited for it, dunno about you
3 > VC > SA > 4.
They're progressively getting worse. They haven't made the next-gen jump. The graphics are not a remarkable upgrade as they should be with a much more powerful system, and the storylines don't offer the interest-holding quality anymore. The more GTA games come out, the less likely I become to like them anymore. There is nothing fantastic about SA or 4 that make me say "Wow, this is much better than 3 and VC." They're good, but they are not better. They are on par with the previous games, but they refuse to try anything new with each game.

GTA4 is overrated. It's all hype, the next thing you know, they will delay it again.

They have evolved a lot since the first one. Maybe not as pretty looking, but have changed nonetheless. The ability to move out of jumping cars, the lack of load time or screens on SA (Especially the PC Version) They acquired themed and licensed music (yet I do miss MSX FM on III) and not to mention the animated faces progressively got better from 3 to VC and SA. They added another somewhat real standpoint on player statistics, such as the food you eat, mode of transportation, clothes you wear and if you work out or not effect your gameplay. a Musclley, slim CJ would be able to jump higher, and run faster, stamina was higher, and gained sex appeal(kinda) while the fat CJ Ran slower and was slower to recover stamina after running. Thus far from the In game Trailer, 4 looks phenomenal. I think it has a good look to it. The added sense of realism kinda seems like it has drifted off of the wacky antics of the past ones, but I think it'd be fun to play, yet still pleasing to look at.

Wow, a lot of GTA Haters.
I personally think that yes the story line has gotten worse each game, but...
1.) This is the sequel to III, and III was the best so far, so IV will probably be good.
2.) It's still fun to run around in free mode killing people.
3.) I can't say that I haven't had fun doing any mission on GTA.
I think that GTA is just a great game, I've been playing it since I was around 8 and I've loved it since then.

This is probably one of the few games coming up that I'm actually looking forward to. I don't care about the story but I've enjoyed all of the newer Grand Theft Auto games. It's just a lot of fun playing...don't know how else to describe it.
I just hope that in this one they have a very large playing field, keep it (semi)realistic and let users play over Xbox Live. I like how now you actually have to hide from the police and they actually search for you. They won't just automatically know we're you're at if you're in a secluded part of a map.
I also like how they've made new animations for some of the actions. Like how you hotwire a lone car instead of just automatically possessing the keys. What I'd really like to do is play with a few of my friends over Xbox Live, drive around the city in a car, shoot up some foo's, and go into a whatever the hell place and play poker. (In San Andreas, you could play Pool and possibly other games with a partner).
The above description may sound kind of lame, bla bla, why don't you do it in real life instead? I just think it'd be fun in free time at night or something. Hopefully this game isn't disappointing.

oh good.. start at 8. see how you come out later. haha im kidding. but yeah im a huge gta fan... i dont get as excited as other games, but i cant wait for this one. so i know a few.. like no loading screen (which i kinda assume for obvious reasons, that the main loading screen will be longer then a mother fucker, but hey you gotta wait for fun), ummm just more realistic.. such as ragdoll physics... except better.. more life in the figure instead of being like a.. well ragdoll, which i expected even san andreas to have. and im thinking weapons wont be in the air with agolden light around them rotating like their holy or something. only bad thing is that in driving, i guess the cameras gonna way closer.. which i dont like when the cameras right in your ass but oh well
and also, they got it so that the missions and freeplay (where you go around on killing rampages) are gonna affect eachother. i dunno how, but should be exciting
Edit:and yeah, to Dissolution241, i heard that theres gonna be online play where you can rampage the city together, but they say it wont be a MMORPG (like WoW).. which isnt bad. its like halo how you have to gather people up. its not bad.. id rather have it like that. i dunno how they can load all that though

Obviously I'm looking forward to it. I was pretty disappointed in San Andreas. While it was still a decent game, it just couldn't compare to the previous GTA games. I have a good feeling that this will make up for the downfalls of San Andreas. Especially if they don't make it so you have to eat and work out...that was the dumbest idea they ever came up with.

I absolutely can not wait for this game! I currently own every GTA that ever came out (I think). TBH, I don't like reading reviews or anything like that. I get joy out of finding out how good the game is by myself.
I play this series for two reasons:
1. Story mode thing, Its just fun, but easy.
2. I like putting on random cheats and killing people at my will.
Yay for Rhino Tank. :]

3 was probably the best. I agree full heartidly with Tural though. They seem to be getting progressively worse. I've lost so much interest in the series since 3. Vice city I beat but didn't have as much fun. San Andreas I flat out quit playing after getting to the second city. It was just too much of the same old crap. It got boring...
I will indeed check this out because I'm still a fan but my standards aren't too high for this.

i dunno. i mean, in ways its true. but in other ways... its jsut taste. levels do have alot to do with it... i liked 3.. but i didnt like its liberty city. it wasnt that great. vice cities was good but seemed small... but still i love it. san andreas i think was a great game... but in a different way. it goes into street gangs, not the mob. you can get that action in real life in the right place, but mob stuff... cant always get. i liked san andreas though.. i really do but it doesnt seem to be a grand theft auto game, for its main story. its map.. was great but half the damn thing was country. what good do you get in the country in a gta game? see... with 4, its in liberty city/ new york city, where you got street gangs AND the mob, you got millions of people, you got places to hide, ways to hide, and its huge. itll be the biggest single map of gta... not as big at san andreas, but in SA, they got the country which is just.. well country. i think gta 4 has something coming for it...
