first website template

Post by CptnNsan0 »

Ok this is my first time trying anything like this. I need a bunch of suggestions. It's a band website for me and my friends. I know it's a little bland right now and I plan on adding some brown in to give it a little more color. TEXT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

That's not a template.

Are those supposed to be buttons?

I'd say scrap it, look at some band sites, then come back and create a new template.

Place the buttons along the side or across the top, and leave room in the body for text.

Banner takes up too much room, try and make it have less height.

yea I realized. I mean its just a layout or whatever. I tried to make it a bit different. Here's what I have now. still a WIP. I like the banner how it is right now. The website wont be jam packed with information or anything so I don't need to conserve that much height.

Really sort of bland... Never leave open space like that. Explore the space!

Also, none of your buttons really "fit". The Previous and Next buttons aren't even totally on the raised section.

Put the image on a page and open it in a browser. I think you'll find that the banner consists of too much dead space.

I took that all into consideration I was just seeing how it looked but I'll keep your considerations in mind. Have any ideas what i could do with the empty space?

edit: for some odd reason it looks much more colorful on my computer but soo grayish on here...
