Okay i used the Tutorial But when i did it besides part 5 cause that part i did not understand worked but non modders can't see the trees i spawned does anyone know what i did wrong? ^^;;
Spawning objects that stay still and have collision (like scenery)
Note: For this tut the map must have a machine you're willing to duplicate or sacrafice.
1) Take a machine and set its speed to 0.
2) Swap the machine's Hlmt with the objects Hlmt that you want to spawn.
3) Go to the Itmc Tag and swap one of the itmc's with the machine that is now your object.
4) Now I recomend you FTP you're map and see if the object has full collision and stays perfectlly still.
5) Add chunks to your map and link them to the proper Itmc.
6) Open up Darm Matter and move the Objects around (to see where they are you may need to switch the Itmc to spawn a H_turret then switch it back to your machine when you've moved the spawn points.)
7) Sign map and FTP it and enjoy your scenery like objects with collision!
Tip: If the machine has sounds swap them to something like seagulls like i did in zanzibar.
Scen To Mach Problem
Thanks to a new update by Bungie coming soon for Halo2, the game will soon have new code to allow the game to check with the server's map file, and download any new tags and positions directly while they join the game, and load it instantly. Apparently they figured they can't stop people from modding online, so instead they are going to do the opposite and support it with this new mod-friendly update.
If you don't see the sarcasm, turn on brain.
Seriously, how is their xbox going to know what a tree.mach (or whatever you named it) is? Bungie programmed Halo2 to expect everyone to have the same map file. Their map file doesn't have it.
And some other things - scenery aren't synced at all (they just spawn for everyone how their map file says), and the only thing about machs that are synced are whether they are open/closed. If you move a tree or a mach, that won't sync.
