HTML Template

Well, I've been trying to learn more about html and such in the past few days, so today I made a template in photoshop, add some more coding, and uploaded it to see how it looks. It is my first template, so please go easy on me. Here is a link where you can see it-

Any ideas to make it better and stuff is appreciated.

Looks way too simple and boring for my liking.

Alot of it also looks low quality.

None of the images are low quality, you probably think that because a lot of the black "paint" has noise in it to make it look grainy and such.

Well, the News link takes you to a different page, but there's nothing there.

So does the link one, I just started making the links work. There is nothing there because I didn't stuff. Like on the home page the text in the text boxes are examples of where I'd put text.
