A true paintball mod

Post by Rockymods »

I would begin work on this but I am still working on my own mod. Anyway, you all most likely have seen paintball mods before, usually on foundation. Those are really cool and all but they still don't give you the maximum you could out of halo 2 paintball.

My goal/suggestions for someone to create a true paintball level. This would not be hard at all.
Here's an example of what a paintball field could look like.

You may wonder how you would do this since you can't do custom collisions. But who needs custom collisions when you can skin and BSP view? Take the square boxes in headlong or elongation for example, if someone skinned those to look more like paintball cover areas then that takes care of that.

In the picture there is a big X, but no objects in halo 2 is a big X. A way around that is to take something like the containment gates, skin them of course, and place them in a X.

Think of all the collision possibilities! This could make for a great paintball map-So long as the shots would be about one hit kills because in paintball you only get one shot and you are out. (In gametypes you would need to set it to only one life and make it so you have a few rounds.

Tell me what you think of this idea!

Cool, but mb you should try it in CE first, for custom collision. That would be teh pawn.

Try this is CE.

However this may be possible, in a different BSP.

I don't know how to mod that though. Having it for halo 2 is what I'd rather have/do for the halo 2 mods community.

Then your way of doing it seems the best to me. Good luck.
