I wanted to create mapname.map files to swap in and out of my halo directory for lan parties.
I applied a ppf patch to my sidewinder cache file and copied it to my xbox, and it worked fine.
I then opened the patched cache file in in sparkedit and saved as a compressed file titled "sidewinder.map"
When I tried to play the level on halo it seemed to work fine, except the sounds were messed up. There was a lot of random background noise and the plasma grenades sounded like chicken when I threw them.
Can anyone help with this problem?
