Halo PC Audio Question

ok i definitely searched for about 1/2 hour but couldn't find anything so..

On changing the Halo Menu Music...I've extracted the monk track from HMT and got the track i wanna replace it with down to the same size(33s). when i import it, it says "successful" and all but when i open halo, it plays about 3-4 seconds of it then stops.

Anyone know how to fix this or if the new HMT is more compatible with it? Maybe the ogg format needs to be a certain way..i dunno.

Each songfile is broken up into multiple chunks. These would all need to be extracted or something, and then recombined somehow (I believe there are programs for this out there...) in order for it to play the whole song.
