URGENT, NEED HELP PLEASE! (H2 Warthog problems)

Ahh herroww.

I'm making a mod where I need several warthogs in terminal, but each with different bitmaps. I've tried duplicating them in insolence and the bitmaps, linking them up then swapping the ghosts and wraiths to be the duplicated hogs, but it freezes... ive been told i need to recursivly duplicate the vehi warthog in entity, but i get errors stopping it from working.

Please somebody help.

i reckon you should duplicate the VEHI - warthog . and the MODE - warthog (recursive)... if recursive duplicating the MODE doesnt work, you should duplicate the shaders you'd want to use, including the new bitmaps you want to skin..
duplicated vehicles break systemlink tho.

making the warthog randomly variating would be much more neater, but more pain in the a s s... since it's a bit of research.

o and never duplicate using both programs... i suggest using entity only. since adding data with entity and insolence mixes up data or something

Vehi->Hlmt->Mode->Shad->Bitmaps
Duplicate all of those.
If Entity doesn't work.. Use Insolence.

Smacktalker, you say duplicating vehicles breaks systemlink... does that mean its possible though?! I almost gave up! I spent 5 days making skins, the to find everytime I try duplicating the hog and spawning it it just freezes.

So I need to duplicate Vehi->Hlmt->Mode->Shad->Bitmaps does it matter if it's recursivly or not? 'cos entity cant recursivly duplicate the hog in the [vehi] tag without giving an error, and with insolence it duplicates so quick I doubt its even done anything.

practically it should work. i'd worry about slc later tho.

OK, I successfully got a duplicated hog working, but I can't give the duplicated one, or the original for that matter, a different skin. I duplicated warthog_standard, skinned the duplicated one, and linked to it in the loneid of one of the hogs, yet it just loads the default skin.

I duplicated all the shaders, and changed all instances of warthig_standard to warthog_standard2, then linked the new shaders to a dup'ed model and then linked the model to the new hog, and the skin just does not change!!

Where elese would warthog_standard be linked to other then shaders!?

sure you missed a step there... let the warthog2 spawn in ITMC, with hlmt - warthog2 (in hlmt2 > swap to mode2.,, < (relink in MODE2 to duplicated shaders , and in shaders to duplicated bitmaps).
be sure to use internalized bitmaps but you knew that.
just thinking logical, practically it works so idk whud your doing.

OK, I have managed to get the duplicated hog to spawn, I have a duplicated bitmap, a duplicated model, duplicated shaders and a duplicated 'hog tag. It spawns, but for some reason it keeps loading the default skin, I've linked all the new shaders to the new bitmap, and the shaders have been linked to the new model, and the new model to the new tag.

I cannot seem to get it to have an individual skin.

This is really, really starting to bug me.
