making AI harder (sp)

is it possible to make AI harder in sp other than going to legendary

Make the plasma rifle(the gun they usually have) or the plasma pistol shoot sniper bullets.

i meant smarter or just make a grunt as good as an elite or so on which i bet thats scripting

Yea, thats way beyond me. I never really messed around with the SP maps, but maybe there is a way to fnd out what they change to go on the different difficulties (like gun damage or health). Do that and keep on making it harder. Just a thought
