what programs u need for halo 2 modding?

i know that you need a mod chip, but thats it. could someone please make a list of every program that you need to make a map and other mods on halo or halo 2 for xbox? thank you!

There are a lot of programs out there. Ok, let me list them (or you can go here for a list: http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=49212). Go to that link.
You would need an FTP program to tap into your xbox (FTP programs like FlashFXP, Cut FTP, or Smart FTP)
Then once you have that, your need to go into your xbox files using the program, retrieve your halo/halo 2 map, and back them up. Then you'll need to download a couple modding programs to mod the map, then just ftp the map back after u modded it)
Good modding programs to have are:
DotHalo
Entity
Insolence
ADI
oh, and CMR to sign to new maps to they work after u mod them. Hope that helps, ask question if u have any

i know this may sound stupid but i really need help, when you download a program off this site, how do u get it on to ur xbox?

You don't put the programs on your xbox :P

the programs meant for modding Halo 2 (like Entiy, DotHalo, ect) are meant to be put on your computer. Your supppose to retriever and backup the Halo 2 maps onto your computer, then just transfer them back after they're modded. So far, i haven't heard of any modding programs that you but into your xbox.
