tool error "directory does to exist"

i was using tool and wen i was exporting my map, it came up with an error toolbeta.map could not be read and after that it said something like specified path does not exist and i know it does. i typed in exactly wat it said for the tutorial (that was my second try with the tutorial map. and i got the same error and i copy pasted exactly wat it says to do. Wat am i supposed to do?
