I need help- Halo Game Hosting

For some reason no matter what game (Trial, PC, or CE) I can't host a gametype...Any reasons why I can't get it to work? My friend tried to get into my game but it just didn't connect...

It really isnt as hard as you think! What u need is a computer that is directly hooked up to a hub (thats connected to ur internet) with a cat5 or higher cable and halo! Make sure you got all your firewalls disabled. Just create a server and wait! Its that easy. (or at least for me). It will be alot harder making a server if your connecting to the internet wirelessly because there are a whole bunch of options/things that can screw u over.
