Problem with my ghost skin.

Alright here's the deal, I modified my ghost skin to make the ghost look red with black metal (along with some minor detail changes) a long time ago and there has always been one problem.

When I get into the game the ghost skin works, but the specular effects of the metal still look purple/pink!, I dont know how to edit the specular effects of a vehicle and hopefully thats where you guys can help me out, the ghost doesnt even look red because the specular effects kill the color.

Using black as a color in a skin causes that area to become transparent. So when you're using that black skin, you can actually see through the black, hence the pink/purple color. You may be able to fix this problem by changing the black color in the skin to a very dark gray or blue. I'm not positive if only black becomes transparent, or if it is all dark colors. However, I'm pretty sure it's just pure black. So try switching the black metal in your skin to an almost-black dark color.

I can see the black metal perfectly, its not the actual texture that is causing the problems, its the specular effects that are put onto the vehicle, the shiny effects that move about in different light, those effects are still a purple/pink from when the ghost was purple. So how could I make this shiny effect red instead of purple/pink

You probably didn't edit the cubemaps.
