Why would you need to post a new message before 10 seconds?

Removing flood control opens the site to a scripted flood attack....

I hate flood control. Everybody does. But I think removing it would make us very vulnerable.

You know what would be more annoying? Deleting some noobs want to spam. It would be more efficient for spammers than for anyone else.

get rid of it, its pretty much useless. if a noob is going to spam, all the have to do wait 10 seconds anyway. But its annoying, I often go to edit my posts, right after i post them, but having wi wait 10 seconds is annoying.

If your afriad of scripted spam attacks then you can quite easly install a mod to do delete a certain users posts.

If this was IPB we wouldn't have that problem; flood control does not apply in editing posts on IPB forums.

Decoy sums it up pretty much, except another thing to remember is that this greatly reduces the amount of double posts. If you click submit twice, instead of putting two posts out, it'll post one and give you the error for the second.

10 seconds is not that long. Nothing in this forum is that important, just shows how obsessed you are. :)

Well, if you test it, it's actually set to 30 seconds... which can be quite annoying if you want to quickly edit something.

Yea, for once I agree with Malf, (what are the chances?) I believe if it was just 10 seconds, that would not be too annoying, but thirty seconds can become a hassle.
