is it true that if your trying to import a cutom model into halo for pc (lets say a new viechle) you have to replace another model?
and the custom model has to have the same number of verticies and indercies as the one your trying to replace?

In CE, yes, not in PC, without using CE.TheNox wrote:kinda suks if it is like that, it means you cant put custom models in game
The reason you can't do this is because Halo has to compile and convert the code from the exported model from Max into Halo format, then compile it into a map.
Injecting a new model would screw up UV mapping coordinates, and the placement of markers, nodes, etc. stuff Halo uses for the models for them to work correctly.
If you're really desperate on getting this in you'd have to actually use CE/HEK to create a model, then convert it, then rip it, but then the bitmaps/sounds don't come along with it if you rip it to PC because in PC, it reads the bitmaps from bitmaps.map and and sounds from sounds.map instead of the map file itself. It's not coded to.

If you guys want to debate with me, atleast use English! I can hardly understand a word anyone says with all those...period to spaces conversions.
