Ive got evox, but my halo 2 trainer wont work...

i've got evox and i installed the halo 2 trainer alongside the other trainers, i go to the trainer menu and enable the trainer, and then choose save and exit. after that, i go to my games menu while still in evox, and start halo 2. none of the changes the trainer was supposed to make happened. is there some sort of button i'm supposed to push or something else i'm supposed to enable?
