Get a laser pointer. Turn it on. Can you see the beam?
No...
Only if it goes through dust particles, and then you see the beam because the laser bounces off the particles. (Don't argue with my Year 10 advanced physics, and I go to a selective school so regular comprehensive schools probably learn this shit in year 11 or 12.)
I have a laser pointer, the dot is the only thing you can see. so yes, his idea is a good one.

And that would just be stupid, because if you want the gun to have a Collision Model, the whole gun would have to have one, which includes the beam. Since it would have a collision model, you would be able to hit people with this beam, and it would be a solid object even when it hasn't been picked up yet.

When you remodel something, it doesn't create a new collision. =\RaVNzCRoFT wrote:MrChief1 wrote:You'd have to make a model, and skin that one part of the gun red and make it long.

Well, If you were standing at one end of bloodgulch, and aiming at the other side, do you think you could see that little red dot?Hunter wrote:*sighs*L33T wrote:I don't think you can do it... wait, i tried editing the [ligh] tag for the flashlight to do the same thing, but it didn't work, it only made the area where the flashlight is at on mc's helmet red as opposed to making a red dot....
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

That is why the dot is usually about 2 1/2" diameter at 25 yards. The dot is huge at close range, so yes, you should just be able to see it from that distance.L33T wrote:Well, If you were standing at one end of bloodgulch, and aiming at the other side, do you think you could see that little red dot?
Besides, most laser sights aren't meant to be used at ranges like 600ft...
