Halo ce problem need help badly!!

ok i have this problem on my halo ce .............. i can't see the text!
such as "welcome *name of person*, was killed by someone, text that i type in, and everything else" plzzz help!

my brother got nthe same problem a week ago but now its ok.Maybe it is the update

it's because you alt-tabbed the game, it happens often. Just restart the game, and the text bug should be gone.

no thats not the thing this happened because i messed up on setting up the console thing and now i still can't see the text after 2 years
