I need help learning HEK

..I tried HEK once,a nd it confused me outta my mind! I can't make levels for crap, but it'd be ncie if I knew how to edit the maps that are out(such as bg,a nd those things) because, even if I would be bad at it.. I would still be able to edit the maps quite well if I learned how to use HEK right. So, what I'm really asking is, I need someone who wouldn't mind a bajillion pm's and IM's asking about HEK. If this is the wrong forum, I'm sorry, cuz there were five, and this seemed the most appropriate. >.<

Also, if you CAN edit bsps well, could you pm me, cuz I have some ideas that I want to get out..

have you already seen the video tutorials on halomods main page?

and it's just not HEK that you'll need. you'll also need to downloadload things like 3dsmax7 or gmax and photoshop or paintshop

Those are things that Newer people overlook.But you never answered his quistion. You cannot edit old/downloadable maps unless you have: A: The bsp for max/gmax. B: The .scenario files.

Well, I posted the same q's on halo-mods.com, and one person said I'd need to do stuff to the map is sparkedit, and have a .obj plugin for Gmax, but I can't find one, lol.

Oh, and yes, I dled them all, I think. lol.

You need to make a map in gmax, export using tool, runb radiosity, then, use gurilliea and saipien for placment and other usefull and needed stuff.
