First Person model/animation/creating?

For the First person madels, I was wondering how to create them and/or animate them.

And what programs to use.

umm to animate things, use either 3ds max 7 or caligari. for modeling, use anything that said #D MODELING!!! click here to find some

Well 3d MAX is a dream for me.... wats that calligari thing? How much does it cost? Where can I get it?

calligari is free but i can never find it any more
